On a planet far away live little creatures.
They look like pink stuffed toys that have been modeled
on biped Ant Eaters. In fact they don't eat ants, they
eat soup. The soup is produced by a dragon which lives
beneath the planet's surface. Although the Clangers
communicate using a sound which resembles a fuzzy
whistle, you will understand everything they say,
regardless of your mother tongue. |

This is the movie spin off from the 1960s US
television series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward. The
highlights include the theme tune, the Batmobile and a
life threatening battle with a rubber shark. Many of
Batman's old enemies are featured, though there is at
least one notable eggsception. If you wondered what Adam
and Burt look like 35 years after making the movie, then
this DVD includes interviews with them. |

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's most famous science fiction
puppet show of the 1960s. Similar enjoyment can be derived from the
television episodes or the full length cinema movie. Of course we should
not forget to mention the great Thunderbirds theme tune. |

Do you like the Daleks? I think Doctor Who
without Daleks is like a pen without ink. The 1960s
movies starred Peter Cushing as the Doctor and loads of
nicely coloured Daleks. The TV episodes have starred numerous Doctors.
The last time I checked, both the movie and TV versions were available
in both the US and UK. |

The movie of a Bug's Life came out very shortly after the movie Ants.
The stories and major players in both movies are very similar. I like
both movies very much, both of which were at the pinnacle of CGI use at
the time. Adults might prefer the slightly darker atmosphere of Ants,
while children may prefer the brighter colours of a Bug's Life. |

CGI goes underwater in Finding Nemo. A fine colourful, moving and
inspiring story. Later came another movie called a Shark Tale. As always
it is fascinating to admire the technology used, but as a story I prefer
Finding Nemo. |

Mr. Incredible is a super hero (who has passed his prime), whose whole
family are endowed with different super powers. Like Monster's Inc. and
Shrek this movie is good for observing how CGI can deal with hair. When
a villain appears who threatens Mr. Incredible, his family and many
others, Mr. Incredible works out, gets fit and with his family takes on
the evil one. |

I enjoyed all the Harry Potter movies made so far. As always it is
difficult for sequels to have the same impact as the first in the
series. In this case however if you buy the first movie, you will most
likely buy all the others, since they follow the development of all the
main characters at Hogwarts. Missing out on one would be like skipping
out a couple of chapters in a book. |
